FAQ

What is judgment recovery?

Judgment recovery is the collection of money judgement not paid by the judgment debtor (a party who was ordered by the court to pay to another party). Our profession is judgment recovery.

Are you an attorney?

No. Most attorneys work on pre-judgment. We essentially do what collections attorneys do, but for a fraction of the cost. We file an Assignment of Judgment with the court, which authorizes us to do collections activities on behalf of judgment creditor.

Are you licenced? An agent?

No. We are not a collection agency. Licensed collection agencies are businesses that collect debt such as consumer debts. We focus on court-ordered money judgments that are not considered consumer debts.

Can I do this myself?

From our observation over the years, we barely see any judgment creditors recover without help.

Are there up-front costs?

Absolutely not!

What if you cannot collect?

We work on a contingency basis. If we cannot collect your money, it won’t cost you a penny.

How long does it take?

Please understand the recovery process generally takes a long time. It could make months or even years. We strive to recover judgments that alone, you might not be able to recover at all.

How do we start?

Once we agree to go forward during our phone consultation, you will need to sign two separate documents. One of them we will file with the court, allowing us to begin to legally start the recovery process.
